Software Development & Engineering Services

STRUSIM is an engineering company developing structural analysis software and tools such as STRUDL-X and NSO-X and offering Advanced Structural Analysis Services

34 years in structural analysis

49 years in development ICES/STRUDL

Oil & Gas

STRUSIM staff is widely known in the Offshore Oil and Gas Engineering communities. STRUSIM takes on subcontracts within large engineering projects, on the basis of full-time consultancy or for specific studies.

Software

STRUSIM develops and maintains STRUDL-X, software dedicated to the structural analysis of Offshore Structures.

Research & development

R&D at STRUSIM is focused on the fields of Fatigue of Structures and Extreme Wave Models, in line with current Marine and Offshore Oil and Gas Engineering interests.

The solution software

STRUDL-X is a general Finite Element software with specific extensions for the Offshore Oil & Gas domain, such as Wave Analysis, Code Checking (API, AISC, ISO, EC3, DNV, BV…) and Fatigue Analysis

The software partnership involves :

  • STRUSIM for development and maintenance
  • MAREAL for General Distribution, Training, 1st level support
  • Bureau Veritas for Lifecycle and Digital Twin (VAIM3D)

STRUDL-X includes the NSO-X package.

Presentation & History

STRUDL-X is a general Finite Element software with specific extensions for the Offshore Oil & Gas and Wind domains, including Environmental Actions, Code Checking and Fatigue Analysis.

STRUDL-X is developed and maintained at STRUSIM since 2004 by a team of Senior Structural Engineers, involved in numerous R&D projects, to meet the needs of the industry.

STRUDL-X is the successor of NSO (New Strudl Offshore) derived from BV-STRUDL, developed by Bureau Veritas / C. Briwand from the IBM version of STRUDL, derived itself from the original Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)’s STRUDL-II program initiated in the 70’s.
